Cynthia Dewi Oka (ACG '16) hosts a book launch for her newest work, Salvage, on December 1, 6:00pm at the Asian Arts Initiative. Salvage is a collection of poems that explores the question "how do we transform the wreckage of our identities?"
Reflecting the many dimensions of the poet’s life, Salvage manifests an intermixture of aesthetic forms that encompasses multiple social, political, and cultural contexts—leading readers to Bali, Indonesia, to the Pacific Northwest, and to South Jersey and Philadelphia. Salvage is also available for pre-order now from Northwestern University Press or Amazon.
