Marissa Johnson-Valenzuela at Monday Poets and First Person Arts Festival

Marissa Johnson-Valenzuela (ACG ’12, LTA ’05) is a featured artist for Monday Poets at the Central branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine St Rm 108) on Monday, November 3 at 6:30pm. Currently celebrating its 19th season, Monday Poets is a monthly showcase on the first Monday of the month featuring talented poets from the greater Philadelphia area.

Marissa can also be found performing in the fifth season of First Person Art Festival’s showcase RAW. First Person Arts Podcast LIVE!, hosted and produced by Yowei Shaw (LTA ’13, ACG ’13, '12, '11, '10, ‘09), will reinvent “live radio” in an interactive, multimedia live radio documentary featuring Marissa on the topic of “Talk to Me.” Other featured readers are Rev. David Brown, Timothy Colman, Dave Davies, and Rabbi Linda Holtzman. FPA Podcast Live! can be seen at Christ Church Neighborhood House (20 N American St) on Wednesday, November 12 at 9:00pm.

Tickets are $22 ($17.60 for FPA members)
