Message to Our Daughters Panel and Exhibition

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Art In City Hall – Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy presents Message to Our Daughters, an intergenerational exhibit by local women artists showcasing a diversity of life and artistic experiences. A central part of the exhibit asks each exhibiting artist to compose a letter addressed to future aspiring women artists. Additionally, an open call asks women artists from the Philadelphia region to submit a 140-character message or less to be included in Message to Our Daughters.

The panel discussion takes place on March 15, 2017 at Philadelphia City Hall in the Conversation Hall, Room 201, from 5:00 - 6:00pm with a reception to follow. The exhibit is on view in the Second Floor display cases through May 5, 2017. Please RSVP here.

Message to Our Daughters will culminate in a panel discussion highlighting local women leaders who run small to mid-size arts organizations in the region.  The discussion will be led by Amie Potsic, Art In City Hall’s Exhibitions Advisory Chair and Executive Director to Main Line Art Center.
