Leeway board member Germaine Ingram (ACG ’12, LTA ’08) will be performing as a member of SaltSoul dance troupe in two outdoor pop up presentations.
The 20-minute events, scheduled for July 7 at 9:15pm (22nd & Market) and July 10 at 3:30 (Dilworth Plaza), are preludes to the October premiere of SaltSoul.
The performance explores the June 5, 2013 Salvation Army building collapse in Philadelphia and its grievous loss of six lives, recalling the shock that SaltSoul dancers have suffered from the sudden, incomprehensible loss of their own loved ones.
Funded by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, SaltSoul will be presented in spaces throughout the organizational home of Asian Arts Initiative (1219 Vine Street) on October 6, 7, and 8.
