My art gives purpose and fulfillment to my life; it is an expression of a part of myself that is not directly accessed in other realms of my daily life. As I begin to work, I have no conscious preconception of the final form. It seems to flow from a silent place deep within me, through my hands, into the clay. I am never sure of where this will lead, but it is always within the boundaries of the vessel form.
I like to think of my work as quietly infused with meaning. It is very personal and I try to share this feeling with the viewer. My hope is that people will be as moved by my work as I am by creating it.
