Denise Allen is an educator and a documentary photographer, who has been taking pictures professionally and advocating for children over 30 years. She speaks to a world that often dictates how one should think, feel and exist.  Her projects are collaboration between her and her subjects. Denise elevates and honors the people in her photographs, shining a loving light on stigmatized bodies and lives.  She enlists the viewer as a witness, as someone who might speak up. Denise has a BFA in Photography from Columbia College and a MED from Penn State University.
