Hye-Jung Park

Hye-Jung Park

For nearly 3 decades, Park has worked in media for social change, with a range of roles, from media administrator to media activist, to independent curator and independent filmmaker – but consistently as a community activist for social change. Her aim in her media work throughout has been to nurture emerging progressive filmmakers, to help activate media organizing, and to create and support the creation of media that sparks critical thought and spurs action for change. Her own films have primarily focused on the need to end war and militarization of the Korean peninsula – and examining the U.S. role in the tensions there.
