Join Abington Art Center on October 25, 7:00 - 9:00 PM for a Lecture Series presentation by Diane Burko (BBA '00).
My Journey from Landscape Artist to Explorer, Activist
Diane will share her evolution from landscape artist, working primarily as a painter, to “scientifically” knowledgeable landscape activist collaborating with glaciologists researching climate change. She will introduce her new book, Glacial Shifts.
Diane Burko’s practice lies at the intersection of art and environmental exploration, with a focus on climate change. Collaborating with scientists and connecting their data to her work, Diane’s method includes witnessing geological changes first-hand through extensive travel to melting glaciers around the world.
