Grassroots organizers are working fervently to address gender justice issues including reproductive justice, gender-based violence, worker’s rights, mass incarceration and police violence, and equal access to healthcare, education, and affordable housing. The Gender Justice Fund will make $10,000 grants to support this work and advance justice for women, girls, transgender, and gender non-conforming people in the Philadelphia region.
All of the money for grants in the Gender Justice Fund is being raised this spring by the 19 members of the Gender Justice Giving Project who have committed to six months of community building, political education, giving, fundraising, and grantmaking. Their leadership makes this fund possible.
The deadline to apply for a grant from the Gender Justice Fund is Friday, May 25. If your group is considering applying, attend an information session at Leeway Foundation's community room in suite 832 at 1315 Walnut Street on Tuesday, May 8 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Please RSVP here.
