Che Gossett Joins Panel Discussion on Queer Racial Justice

Che Gossett (ACG '11, '10) will be speaking on a panel about queer racial justice presented by GALAEI on Tuesday, August 26. They will be joined by fellow panelists Jessica Rosenberg, Edurne Irizzary, and Erica Núñez.

What is the relationship between occupied Palestine, Puerto Rican nationalism, and the Mexico-U.S. border? Can we build coalitions and act globally from the United States? How can queer communities build a movement that goes beyond colonialisms?

Join this panel as they address these issues and many more at the American Friends Service Committee (1501 Cherry Street) on Tuesday, August 26 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There is no entry fee for this event. Check out the Facebook page for updates.

GALAEI is a queer Latin@ social justice organization founded in 1989 to respond to the lack of support and resources during the HIV epidemic. As a queer Latin@ organization, they embrace the common history of resistance and resilience of Latin@ and queer people. They maintain a strong commitment to being a community-based organization dedicated to serving Latinidad through providing social services around HIV/AIDS and sexual health, organizing, networking, and referrals.
