Expecting Possibility is a powerful documentary about one family who took an intentional and unconventional journey in bringing their Black baby into the world.

Black folk in America live in threatening conditions--especially a Black woman and her unborn baby. For many families, bringing life into this world comes at a significant cost--money and possibly life. Survival in this environment requires self-determination; deciding how a Black child comes into this world and who gets to participate in this event. Expecting Possibility will explore the alternative avenues for Black folks on their birthing journeys through the support of midwives, doulas and other birth workers.

This film will be great for first time parents, parents who have already given birth, future parents and folks generally interested in wellness & holistic health alternatives for Black Families and communities.
