Opening Space, Breathing Space, Making Space: A Yoga Practice to Honor Leeway’s 25 Years with Sheena Sood
A quarter of a century of supporting feminist art to give thanks for! No better way to honor that gratitude than with a Hatha-inspired heart-centering yoga practice. This offering will be great for beginners or yogis who have a regular practice. We will set individual and collective intentions, engage our internal selves through breath, body and mind activation and envision the magic we are destined for in the next 25 years! A practice you don’t want to miss! While I will invite us to use and move our bodies, I am prepared to offer adjustments/alternatives to anyone who prefers a chair or sitting practice. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any special needs/requests. All are welcome!
Food Making Workshop with JBK
We will be discussing and learning about fruits and veggies that resemble the body part it helps keep healthy. There will be an introduction on herbs good for cleansing energy and space. We will be making smoothies or salads for the body parts that folx might need to give some extra love. Participants will engage in a short discussion on fruits vegetables and herbs that keep the mind, body, and soul healthy. Kids will be able to color in worksheets of a few veggies that look like body parts. Everyone will be able to eat a small salad or smoothie.
Zine Making Workshop with Kerri Radley
Join zine maker Kerri Radley for a zine making workshop! Zines are self-published "booklets," where the content, look, and feel of the publication are completely up to the writer/maker. Participants will learn the art of DIY cut and paste and the basics of how to layout and create this low-cost, low-tech medium. Materials will be supplied to make your very own 8-page mini zine.
