Mina Zarfsaz (ACG ‘17) is the selected 2018 Leeway x Asian Arts Initiative Performing Artist-in-Residence. During this residency, Mina is working collaboratively with Shelly Ronen, PhD, Ben Bass, and other members of the theatrical and dance community to explore concepts of displacement, dis/ability, longing and belonging through the lenses of social and political devastations. 

This event will engage the public with their process in various forms including a public reading, discussion, installation, video, photographs and diagrams that triangulate their exploration in material relations, and aims to open a platform for a conversation around the emotional, and mental incapacitating forces that are imposed on immigrants and humans at large by socio-political systems.
