2017 Art and Change Grant – $2,500

Annie is co-writing the script for Imogen, a feature film that follows a young trans woman (played by Annie), and her friends, roommates, and boyfriend, all of whom will be played by queer and trans actors of color. The film explores themes of sexual trauma, depression, and healing and follows Imogen's journey as she deals with the debilitating after-effects of childhood abuse while trying to date and enjoy sex with her boyfriend. Funds will be used to support the film’s production: shooting, editing, and paying the cast and crew.
