2015 Art and Change Grant – $2,500

Erin’s project entitled A Houseless Museum, is a mobile exhibition exploring the history of homelessness in Chinatown North and beyond. Through oral histories, archival research, and artist installations displayed at multiple sites throughout Philadelphia, Erin will illuminate the history and complexity of homelessness. Erin will work directly with Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission – the oldest homeless shelter in Philadelphia – as well as other community constituents in the neighborhood to collect oral histories and ideas from the public. Erin believes that public history should serve communities with creative and collaborative artwork that places societal issues into context so people can problem solve with one another.
