Kerri will create the 7th issue of her zine, Deafula, which explores deaf identity, discrimination, ableism, and queries the label of disability itself. She will also hold a release reading at The Soapbox, where she will read from Deafula and facilitate discussion with her local zine/arts community about bettering approaches to accessibility. The zine and release reading will encourage self-introspection, raise awareness of inaccessibility at local events, and strengthen community by fostering a dialogue on how to make events more inclusive.
