V Varun Chaudhry is a South Asian trans boi who hopes to combine academic research with organizing and community building for LGBTQ communities of color. V is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Northwestern University, currently working on their dissertation project, which focuses on negotiations for funding for trans and gender nonconforming-focused advocacy, services, and organizing. This research builds on V's involvement in LGBTQ advocacy and organizing work in St. Louis, New York, and Chicago.
