Vivian Chace

Communications Intern

Vivian

Vivian is a nonbinary dramaturg and performance artist originally from New England. They are interested in uplifting work produced on the margins and the potential for art as intervention with a particular concentration in documentary theatre, performance art, drag, and most recently, cabaret. They are focused on investigating the way artistic production can model positive social organization, and how antagonizing artistic form can be used as a means to challenge hegemonic sociopolitical ideas. Most of Vivian’s professional career has existed within the theatrical world, including The San Francisco Mime Troupe, CRVPT, and The Portland Stage Company.  In Philadelphia, they also work for the Bearded Ladies Cabaret, and for InterAct Theatre Company. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College where they concentrated in Feminist Dramaturgy.
