Amistad Law Project

Amistad Law Project (ALP) is a grassroots public interest law center working to end mass incarceration and build alternatives to policing in Pennsylvania. Founded and led by Black and brown organizers, lawyers, and advocates, ALP uses legal advocacy, community organizing, and policy change to dismantle the prison industrial complex and push for transformative justice. Their work centers people directly impacted by state violence and the criminal legal system, building power to create a world rooted in care, not punishment.
