Shevaun Brannigan

Shevaun Brannigan’s project will provide women and nonbinary comics at Lady Laughs International Comedy Festival with professional tools to advance in the field. This initiative is a response to the lack of female and nonbinary representation in the city’s comedy scene, as well as to create a safe space against the economic, cultural, and safety barriers that women and nonbinary comedians often face. Participants will receive professional headshots, reels, and attend workshops and panels on sustaining comedy careers amid financial and caregiving constraints.
