Increasing Engagement and Supporting Leadership of Trans Women workshop at PTHC

Sisterly LOVE of the Trans* Wellness Project will be facilitating a workshop at the Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference on June 6. Increasing Engagement and Supporting Leadership of Trans Women. This workshop examines the barriers that prevent trans women from engaging in leadership roles as well as provide strategies to increase engagement and support trans women as leaders in communities and organizations. Participants will evaluate the degree to which their community or agency supports and encourages leadership among trans women and identify strategies for growth. This workshop will also explore ways in which we can center the voices and experiences of trans women of color, trans women who are working in the sex industry, those who are living with HIV and trans women who have been incarcerated.  On June 6, from 12:45pm - 2:05pm Room 120B of the Philadelphia Convention. The Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference takes place June 4-6 at the Convention Center and is free.
