Media Mobilizing Project's Spring 2014 Movement Media Institute will be held Friday, May 30 to Sunday, June 1 at the MMP Office (4233 Chestnut St.) A short application is required to attend. Email [email protected] for details or with questions.

Goals for this Spring 2014 Institute participants are: to gain concrete media skills (in social media production, video production, interviewing techniques, mainstream media-press relations, messaging and narrative development, etc.), concrete information to support and develop your media strategy, to grow participants' connection to one another and the work that they do, and to MMP, to gain a clear understanding of what MMP is, what they do, and media and communications for a movement. The Institute will also have a particular focus on the power of (and tools for) story-collecting as an organizing tool. The full schedule is as follows: Friday May 30, 6:00pm-9:00pm; Saturday May 31, 10:00am-4:30pm; Sunday June 1, 10:00am-3:00pm.
