Our Stories, Our Truth Documentary Film Debut By Elaine T. Jones

Elaine T. Jones (LTA '15) debuts her documentary film Our Stories, Our Truth on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (74th Avenue and Briar Road, Philadelphia). The film consists of interviews with African Americans of "the silent generation," people in their 70s, 80s, or 90s who are descendants of those who lived through the Civil War, who were born shortly after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation and endured the Jim Crow years.

The showing is free. Church service begins at 10:00 AM, followed by a chat and chew at 11:30 AM. The film will be screened at 1:00 PM, followed by a community conversation at 3:00 PM. For more information, contact Elaine T. Jones at [email protected].
