Trans Lives Matter: Panel Discussion & Call to Action

A panel discussion and call to action regarding the 2002 death of Nizah Morris, a black trans woman who was found with a fatal head injury in Center City minutes after receiving a courtesy ride from Philadelphia police, will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on April 15 at the William Way Center (1315 Spruce St). Panelists include Tenika Watson, a longtime friend of Nizah, Charles P. Goodwin, an attorney and civil-rights advocate, and Timothy Cwiek, winner of the 2013 Sigma Delta Chi award for Investigative Reporting for his work on the Morris case.  Former State Representative Babette Josephs will moderate.
