Upcoming Events at PFP

Philadelphia Folklore Project is focusing on folk arts in education this fall starting with their Educator Supper Club on Thursday, November 13 from 5:30pm-8:00pm, a potluck dinner for K-12 teachers and administrators to come together and share resources for working with folk art in the classroom. The Community Artists and Organizations Workshop the following Thursday, November 20 from 5:30pm-7:30pm is an opportunity to brainstorm how to bring more community artists into the classroom as well as diving into the issues and challenges surrounding bringing folk and traditional arts into the classroom setting. A Winter Open House on Friday, December 12 from 6:00pm-8:00pm PFP will open their office for an evening of family-friendly folk arts programming. All events will take place in their west Philadelphia office (735 S 50th St) and are free.
