Elephants on the Avenue Gallery Exhibition at Historic Germantown

Ife Nii Owoo (ACG '07) and Yolanda Wisher (ACG '08) were selected as participating artists in Historic Germantown's Elephants on the Avenue project, which has offered free events and workshops led by artists and historians this Spring focusing on race and class issues in Germantown. The gallery exhibition, curated by Renny Molenaar, features commissioned artwork created over the 18 month project and opens on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00PM. View tunnel books, fans, and haiku poetry by visual artists Ife Nii Owoo, Diane Pieri, Barbara Bullock, and Benjamin Volta and poets Sonia Sanchez and Yolanda Wisher and members of the community.
