A film by Kathryn Smith-Pyle (ACG '17, '14) and María Teresa Rodríguez (LTA '07, WOO '03) was mentioned in a piece by WHYY about the legacy of Archbishop Oscar Romero. Niños de la Memoria (Children of Memory) tells the story of the search for hundreds of children who disappeared during the Salvadoran Civil War. Romero is seen in the film advocating for economic justice, and Pope Francis has cleared the way for him to become a saint this year. Read more.
