Heidi Saman Receives Award At LA Film Festival

Heidi Saman (LTA ’09) received the LA Muse Jury Award for her film Namour at the 2016 LA Film Festival in Culver City.

Namour is a feature film that tells the story of Steven Bassem, an Arab American young man attempting to navigate friends, lovers, family and his job as a valet driver against the backdrop of a sparse, stylized depiction of Los Angeles. The film was premiered at the Festival.

The LA Film Festival showcases compelling new independent films, TV, emerging online content and filmmaker-driven studio titles. Selection to the LA Film Festival qualifies films for a variety of prestigious Jury and Audience selected awards.
