Lisa Jo Epstein (ACG '09) will lead J.E.D.I. Workshops and Trainings

Lisa Jo Epstein (ACG '09) continues to lead J.E.D.I. (justice, equity, diversity & inclusion) workshops & trainings via her non-profit Just Act.

In Feb, she trained educators from Caucus of Working Educators in Forum Theatre, who performed & engaged attendees in dialogue about challenges to implementing a Black & Ethnic Studies K12 curriculum in "Stuck in Status Quo...Again" at the BLMPhilly Week of Action Rally.

In April, she co-led a workshop with mentee, Jimmy Kirby Jr., on collectively tackling health injustice at the 2019 Faith & Spiritual Affairs Conference.

In May, she trained a different WE Caucus group in using Theatre of the Oppressed with an anti-oppression framework so they could weave it into their curriculum for teachers on anti-racism. She led a day-long undoing racism training for faculty from Department of Education at The College of New Jersey who created and performed their own Forum Theatre piece to engage peers in a dialogue about racism on campus.

On June 26-30, she will be leading her annual training of trainers via Forum Theatre Intensive at the Just Act Studio in Germantown.
