Marie Alarcón and Yolanda Wisher Perform in I Wonder What Else Could Be Different Around Here

Yolanda Wisher (ACG '08) will perform in I Wonder What Else Could Be Different Around Here with her band the Afroeaters and Dick Lourie for an intergenerational performance of blues and verse at the Institute of Contemporary Art (118 S 36th St) on September 17. The readings on the terrace will be preceded by "pop-up" readings throughout the gallery, near the works of art that inspired the Philadelphia poets commissioned to write ekphrastic poems for the event including new work by Marie Alarcón (ACG '09). DJ Cardigan, Leeway Foundation Program Director Sara Zia Ebrahimi, will spin a mix in response to the ICA's new exhibition, The Freedom Principle. Free.
