Michelle Angela Ortiz Receives the Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellowship

Michelle Angela Ortiz (WOO '17, ACG '13, '12, '05, LTA '08) is one of six artists nationally to receive the Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Fellowship. The fellowship recognizes artists across the country who utilize their art form for positive impact on communities small and large. Michelle will present her work in the upcoming Summit in Washington, D.C. on May 6 and join in a year of learning and conversation centered around mentorship from Yo-Yo Ma and Kennedy Center artistic partners and experts.
