New Book by Takeya Trayer

Takeya Trayer's (LTA '12, ACG '12, ACG '10) new book My Mommy is My Daddy is now available. This book "is a fun opportunity to discuss the variations of families, parenting, and gender."

The author, Takeya Trayer, became Taki Mam when she became a mother. Taki is a multi faceted artist proficient in all digital computer arts, video and audio creation and editing, along with painting, poetry and animation. Accessing and utilizing both her male and female spirits expands her life and her art. Taki Mam was born in Harrisburg and raised in the small town next to the steel mill along the Susquehanna river. After the birth of Taki's first child, his freedom in drawing inspired her to start drawing with her left hand. From Taki's left hand a unique style was created. This book was drawn entirely with the left hand, the non dominant hand. Look for more titles in the future containing journal entries, paintings, poetry and more art by Takeya Trayer a.k.a. Taki Mam.
