With the impact of the pandemic and budget cuts on art programs and student engagement, the Stay Woke Philly team, led by Mizz Jasz, has made a documentary highlighting gems within communities of color right here in Philadelphia. Through Our Eyes: The Impact of Art on Our Community sheds light on the importance of arts as a medium for creative expression, youth advocacy, and racial justice. As an extension of these efforts, Phila. Ceasefire has been identified as the community organization that will receive all proceeds in support of their gun violence prevention efforts for Black and Brown youth.
